BUILD A BUG MOTEL – FREE FAMILY EVENT + PIZZA PARTY!
Saturday, June 14th
Starts at 12 Noon | 📍 Moosomin Visual Arts Centre
Join us for a buzz-worthy afternoon celebrating Father’s Day Weekend with creativity, nature, and pizza! At MVAC’s Build a Bug Motel workshop, families will create eco-friendly habitats for pollinators — and it’s all FREE (donations are always welcome to support community programming).
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Build your very own Bug Motel – a cozy shelter for ladybugs, bees, and beetles
Bring scrap wood, pinecones, sticks, bark, or other “yard treasures” to make it uniquely yours
Enjoy a FREE Pizza Party to wrap up the fun – everyone’s invited!
--BONUS: We’ll have a registration station for the BackYard Biodiversity Challenge. Sign up to receive Native Saskatchewan Wildflower Seeds by mail from the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation!
--PLUS: Take home a helpful plant list to attract pollinators to your yard.
Rain or Shine! If the breeze is cool and the sun is out, we’ll create outside. If it’s too hot or rainy, we’ll bring the fun indoors at MVAC.
Perfect for kids, families, and anyone who loves nature, art, or getting their hands a little dirty for a good cause.
Let us know you’re coming (so we have enough pizza!) and tag a friend who needs a Father’s Day plan!
