DIY-TRY: Beginner Bench Workshop
Join J’aime in the Creation Space and outdoor courtyard for a relaxed, beginner-friendly DIY-TRY workshop where you'll build your own outdoor bench from lumber using a simple, proven template.
No woodworking experience required. Using just a few common tools, you'll learn basic measuring, assembly, and construction techniques while creating a sturdy bench that's perfect for a deck, garden, entryway, or firepit area.
Think: practical, handmade, and proudly built by you — not fine furniture perfection.

🤑Cost:
$20 workshop fee
Plus materials (we'll have it there for you but you'll need to pay for it)
🪚What You'll Build: A beginner-friendly outdoor bench approximately:
51" wide
33" high
Includes a supportive backrest
🔨What You'll Learn:
Measuring and marking lumber
Basic cutting and assembly techniques
Safe use of common hand and power tools
Tips for staining, painting, and weather protection
🎨Finishing Options: Want to sand, stain, or paint your bench? We can discuss options and share available supplies. Finishing may take place at a later date depending on drying times and participant interest.
