DIY-TRY: Hand-Built Clay Creation

Saturday, January 17th • 2:00–6:00 PM (drop in anytime)

Cost: $20 session fee + clay by weight (pay only for what you use)

Drop-in (no booking required): Space is limited—if we’re at capacity, you may be asked to wait briefly or return a little later.

Curious about clay but not ready to commit to a full class? Drop in and give hand-building a try in a low-pressure, community studio setting!

This is a DIY-style session: you’ll work from your own imagination and make a small clay creation using simple hand-building techniques. J’aime (MVAC treasurer) will be on-site to help as needed (answers, quick demos, troubleshooting), but this is not a step-by-step instructed class—and that’s the point: come play, experiment, and get your hands muddy.

Firing & glazing (optional & extra):

Bisque firing and glazing can be discussed after you build.

These are a separate small charge based on:

- the size of your piece

- the glazes used

(If you’ve never fired before, we’ll walk you through the options.)

Come with a “try it” mindset: experimentation encouraged, perfection not required Come solo or bring a friend. You might surprise yourself with what you make.
