Evening Class: Slab-Pressed, Hand-Built Clay Casserole Dish with Jacqui Beckett

There’s still a couple spots in this class so we opened up the registration for a couple more days! Registration will close midnight on Friday, January 9th . . . grab your spot while there is space remaining!!

This project will take two classes to complete. During the first class (Monday, January 12th) participants will make a hand built casserole dish from clay slabs with step by step demonstrated instruction. Once the clay dishes are fired to a bisque state participants will return for a second class (Monday, January 26th). They will learn about glazes, choose the glazes they wish to use and then glaze their casserole dishes. Once the dishes are glaze-fired in the kiln, the participants will be notified when to pick up their casserole dishes at MVAC.

Pre-requisites for this class:

  1. Participants with all levels of clay experience encouraged to attend.

  2. Must be mobile to manage stairs.

  3. Must have steady hands.

All supplies included.

Adults only.

6 people minimum; 10 people maximum.

$95 + GST is for both classes.

Jacqui is an artist/potter/instructor from Moosomin, Saskatchewan who enjoys sharing her skills and enjoyment of art with others.
