About our Artist:

Hannah Delos Reyes is a Filipino-born artist whose practice bridges memory, culture, and lived experience. After migrating to Canada almost a decade ago, she began shaping an artistic voice grounded in the complexities of first‑generation immigrant life. Delos Reyes completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drawing at Brandon University, where she developed a practice centered on cultural identity and the enduring influence of colonial ideologies. Her work traces these forces from the colonial period to the present, examining how they continue to shape personal experience, collective memory, and the psychological landscape of diasporic communities.

While drawing remains central to her practice, Delos Reyes moves fluidly across painting, printmaking, and ceramics. Her academic dedication has been recognized through multiple scholarships and bursaries, and she has produced numerous commissioned works to support her studies. Since 2022, she has been an active participant in group exhibitions at the Art Gallery of Southwestern Manitoba, contributing to the region’s evolving artistic dialogue. She has sold multiple artworks, taught community art classes, and has been invited across Brandon to represent the Filipino community through her art.
